Buttery Grid Series
Do you ever dream? When I am in Morpheus’s grasp, I seem to remember very little of the scenes, flashes of memory. What stays as an echo is the liminal images between the dream vignettes, like the meandering colors and morphing space when our eyes are clamped shut. A grid is so stable, so regular. It just slots together, neatly, orderly, like a machine, but in the hands of someone less than mechanical it yields to the forces of time, desire, and patience. Based in landscape, the sky and the sea, Buttery Grid is shares some information but asks the viewer to finish the form.
